The Neighbourhood Vet is looking for an Insurance Coordinator to join our team


East Dulwich (in practice)


Full-time (5 days -40 Hours per week – Negotiable 2 days Work from Home.)

Main Purpose of Role:

To be actively involved with supporting the Account Manager in Insurance debt management within the practice and leading the Insurance Administrators in the processing and settlement of Insurance claims.

This role reports to the Account Manager and Clinical Directors.


  • Manage the Insurance claims function from start to finish making sure all claims are submitted in a timely and efficient manor.
  • Have full knowledge of the insurance claim system and the ability to process claims when appropriate.
  • Take ownership of submitted Insurance Claims and manage outstanding claims to ensure they are settled and closed within a reasonable time frame and to chase Insurance Groups where necessary to reduce delays.
  • To liaise with the Insurance Administrator(s) and support them in gathering information they may need in order to submit a claim quickly and efficiently (for example, vet signatures, client-signed forms and vet reassessment letters).
  • To be available in practice for any client insurance related queries in-house, by email or over the telephone.
  • Managing the Insurance Admin email inbox and respond to queries; providing Insurance Companies with further information, clinical histories or invoices, and client concerns/complaints regarding their claim.
  • Other Finance/Ad Hoc Duties:
  • Full knowledge of the Pet Health Club system with the ability to alter, manage and maintain in conjunction with colleagues and the Practice Manager.
  • General finance/ ad hoc tasks where necessary.


Up to £26,000 depending on experience
